Part of my Distorted Seasons Series shot in Brockwell Park in April 2010.
Distorted Seasons evokes climate change by making the familiar feel fundamentally wrong.
The landscape is recognisable—a tree, open grass, —but the colours are unnaturally inverted and surreal: discoloured earth, pale ghostly branches, and a sky with a menacing colour spectrum.
That visual distortion mirrors what climate change does to seasons: it keeps the outward structure of nature intact, while altering its rhythms, timing, and balance in ways that feel increasingly unnatural.
